What you will find: The Munich-based Kronsbein Gallery was founded in 2009 and rose quickly to become a leading address for modern and contemporary art. It specializes in Pop Art and Urban Art. The portfolio includes original and signed works from artists such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Ben Eine, Nick Walker, Herakut, Os Gemeos, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Roy Lichtenstein, Russel Young, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst and many more.
The Kronsbein Gallery is the result of a longstanding passion. In central Munich, in the Wurzerstraße, near Maximilianstraße, the successful enterpreneur and patron of the arts, Dirk G. Kronsbein, transformed his private art collection into a professional platform. The gallery, conceived as a meeting place for intense, creative exchange, advanced quickly to become a top destination for modern and contemporary art.
Highlights include works by Bansky, the “King of Urban Art” which are recognized across the world and which command highest prices at auctions. The gallery currently presents approximately 40 works by the street icon within the context of a unique, private exhibit in Germany including “Monkey Queen” with the British Queen as a chimpansee, the famous Hoody-Boy with Keith Haring Dog, named “Choose Your Weapon”, “Nola Pink to Yellow”, “Girl with a Ballon”, that is one of the most recognized Bansky motifs in the world, as well as the singular “Double Toxic Mary”. However, recognized colleagues of Bansky from the street art, like Ben Eine from London, Nick Walker from Bristol, the multi-talented Shepard Fairy or the American Swoon are also shown in the gallery and form a cross-section through the exciting urban art scene.
